2025 Pinnacle Awards, Friday, April 4th

YWCA Tulsa

Join us as a volunteer for YWCA Tulsa’s annual fundraiser – Pinnacle Awards. Each year 9 honorees, 8 women and 1 company, are honored by YWCA Tulsa and the Mayor’s Commission on the Status of Women. At this gala-style event, we host 500 guests to honor the work and impact these exemplary women leaders have on the Tulsa community. As such a large event, it takes many caring and committed individuals to make the event run successfully. Event Details: Pinnacle Awards Gala Date: Friday, April 4, 2025 Location: Arvest Convention Center (formerly named Cox Business Convention Center) Time Shifts: Set-Up (9am to 12pm), Check-in/Check-out (4:45pm to 9:45 pm), Silent Auction Assistance (5:00pm to 9:30pm), Wine Pull Assistance (5:00pm to 9:30pm), Stage Assistance (5:00pm to 9:30pm), Tear Down and Load Out (8pm to 11:30pm) For more information on the shifts, click on "Learn More" and then "volunteer" next to the shift name. Provide Assistance to Our English Teachers

YWCA Tulsa

Assist our teachers in our Adult ESL (English as a Second Language) classes. Assistants would circulate during activities, helping to monitor the students as they complete the exercises, offering guidance and encouragement. Assistants would also help facilitate discussions, role-plays or group work so students get more speaking practice. Assistants might also work one on one with students who need extra help with pronunciation, reading comprehension or writing. No experience is necessary--just a willingness to assist the teacher and help the students learn English. Morning classes are Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:15 to 11:15 AM. Evening classes are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 8 PM. Class run thru mid May. Sign up if you are interested and we will contact you to see what works with your schedule. Email volunteer@ywcatulsa.org with questions.
